Another major no-no is a high neck top. Vertical stripes are to be avoided too as much as possible as these elongate the torso.

Bikinis are the best bet for short torsos. Low waist panties that sit really low make the waist look longer. Avoid shorts and skirty bottoms like the plague. These will enhance the short torso. Vertical lines and plunging necklines are to be opted for a one piece suit.

Large Hips and Fat Thighs

Wide hips and being unhappy about thighs is a common problem. The trick here is to try and take attention away from the bottom. Enhance the top instead. Wear push ups, halters, and padded bras, anything that will push eyes to the top. Dark bottoms will help too. Make the top be in light shades.
