For a test, I dress well for a professional look, or try to dress for the occasion a little?
I'm auditioning for the role of Meg on an interpretation Brigadoon secondary, and I'm not sure if I should wear a nice blouse and a professional appearance or trying to dress for the occasion and it would be easier for the director who see me as the character. Brigadoon is carried out in Scotland in the 1800s, so if I dressed the part that will probably be wearing a long skirt and gray pleated tunic style shirt. If I dress very well I will be with a black colored shirt with cap sleeves and lace jeans with ballet slippers.
